The Get Reels Celtic Band is located near Reading, PA and was founded in 2010 in TN (before relocating to PA).  The band consisted of founders/ former members (who still play with us when we go to TN), Amanda McGehee (vocals, tin whistle, bodhran), Julian Gomez (bagpipes, harmonica, bodhran), Will (currently plays guitar, bodhran, vocals) and Rebecca Mogey (currently plays fiddle, bazouki/mando, vocals).

The band base relocated from Nashville to Reading, PA area in 2021, and the Current members who play with the band are: 

Will Mogey (guitar, vocals)

Rebecca Mogey (fiddle, bazouki/mando, bodhran, and vocals)

Gideon Alden (Celtic flute/whistle, bodhran, vocals)

Emily Roeder (fiddle, bagpipes and also member and family of “The Celtic Martins”)

Elijah Roeder (drums and former member of “The Celtic Martins”)

The Get Reels play jigs, reels, hornpipes, ballads, drinking tunes, and Celtic originals.  There are two fiddles, bagpipes, guitar, bodhran, harmonica, tin whistle, and can also be seen also with bazouki and mando.  The singers sometimes rotate in the band and members also will tell Celtic jokes between songs.  The Get Reels play at bars and restaurants, weddings, parties, and more events around Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and other states that will be when they go on tour.   The Get Reels sometimes are lucky and honored to have some excellent Irish step dancers join!  The gets Reels have shared the stage with the Nashville Irish Step Dancers in TN, the Korbel family, the Scots Ellis School of Irish Dance in TN, Kristin Butke School of Irish Dance in TN, Pride of Erin School of Irish Dance in PA, and more recently the Paloma Irish Dance school in PA.   The Get Reels have also shared the stage with other numerous Celtic bands including The Nashville Celts and The Secret Commonwealth at The Middle Tennessee Highland Games and other events.  The Get Reels often will play at Flanagan’s Pub in Shillington, PA for St Patrick’s Day!
